Volunteering

"Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness." – Seneca

The Friends of Scott was formed by a handful of dedicated volunteers and still relies on volunteer support. This month, our spot light shines on:

Barbara Regas

Barbara has been a wonderful volunteer and friend to all of us at the Friends of Scott barbara_regas Foundation. She is one of the founding Board Members and has proven to be an invaluable asset. Barbara became involved with the Foundation after learning about our work from her son, Nick, who helped Scott during his battle with cancer. When Scott's friends urged us to form a foundation, Barbara quickly volunteered to help in any way she could. Barbara is a registered nurse, who works both for the San Diego Unified School District and an area hospital. There are many reasons she enjoys volunteering with Friends of Scott; most importantly because, "We work to help others who are fighting a powerful enemy – cancer. It is a comfort knowing that Scott has made such a big impact on so many lives." Barbara Regas currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors. She resides in the San Carlos neighborhood with her husband Dan and two children Kara and Nick.

The Friends of Scott has many volunteer needs. Please contact us at info@friendsofscott.org or (619)223.7268 for more information.
